Here are some photographs taken of the Red Arrows during the Portrush Airshow, showing the extremely high standard we have all come to expect. The display was truly breath taking, something you just can't see from photos or video footage. We were at the event on both the Saturday and Sunday and got to see the Arrows on both days, and still found the display fantastic.
Members from a number of clubs took models to statically display over the two days, as well as some small fomie models for flying over the beach before the main show began. Around 40 models were on display ranging from control line through to RC Turbine Jets.
There were 200,000 members of the public at the show over the two days with a lot of interest shown in the models. Unfortunatly due to poor weather over England not all of the full size aircraft were able to appear on the Sunday, but those that did manage to get to fly put on a great display.
Dispite two long days, and a long drive home due to the large amount of traffic, I am looking forward to next year already. Well done Portrush.
