each pilot is entry can consist of a 3 man team, the pilot, caller/helper and a helper. the caller has two rolls, 1) to call the manouvers during flight and 2) as a helper. a helper is simply what it says. someone who is always on hand in the pits area to help the pilot prepare his model, for judging

Well, today saw the selection process for the WJM2007 team get under way .There was a great turn out of both pilots and helpers. Unfortunately Gordon was unable to attend due to a bereavement and our deapest sympathy goes out to him and his family.
Congratulations to all the builders helpers and pilots for the work put in so far. In my opinion everyone there deserves a place on the team but unfortunately that can't be. It will be a very difficult decision to make for the selection committee and I wish each and everyone well. Good luck.

14/05/2006 12:32:42:- get a life - Walter Botchup Your Intrepid Reporter.
It has been further reported to this office that Mr Ian Robb has a B A E Hawk under construction at the present time and with the help of his full team of mechanics should have this aircraft in the air by the end of this month! I will report any further developements as I get them.
14/05/2006 12:09:44:- get a life - Walter Botchup Your Intrepid Reporter.
Eat your heart out.
There have been several reports to this office which may be of interest.Stephen Brown has had numerous flights with his jet hawk, which locals report were worthy of any International air show.Ian Robb has successfully flown his F5E all be it a little under powered which in an exclusive interview with myself he reported was being taken care of by his mechanics as we spoke.Unfortuneately I was not allowed access to verify this for myself! As we spoke there was a huge roar from within the workshop , apparently it was from something called a Jetcat 120 whatever that is? I was invited, once again exclusively,to witness for this office the maiden flight of Davie Ardis's F22.It was truly awesome. The sound and sight of that aircraft!I am told there have been two more flights since then but unfortuneately there was a tyre blow out on take off of the last flight and landing proved a little tricky. I can report that the pilot and aircraft survived and will be in the air again next weekend. There has also been a very sucessful flight with the new Cermark F16 flown by Ian Robb. He mentioned in passing that this aircraft was for pilot training, " To sharpen any rough edges " as he put it.Thats all for now. I'll get back to you with any other breaking news.

08/08/2005 21:18:04:- JWM - Davie Matthews
Mike,
I am not in any way disputing that NI got the JWM for 2007. This was apparently promised to let them have it for 2007 back in 2003 as was said by a few of the NI 2007 organisers on the net and in public at the NIAA meeting back in November last. I hope for the sake of the future of the JWM they do a good job and don’t screw it up. Interestingly neither England or Scotland voted for NI, so perhaps they feel the same way.
08/08/2005 17:49:27:- - Mike Johnson
Sure we had no other volunteers to go to WJM2005 and they brought back the 2007 comp surely that proves they were good enough to send. After all 12 countries voted for them, they thought they were good enough, no ?
07/08/2005 23:19:06:- . . . - Davie
Lets hope the 2007 JWM is better.
07/08/2005 23:17:27:- . . . - Davie
